WHAT: The chart-topping investigative true crime 91勛圖厙Podcast Paper Ghosts, is back for its fourth season. Executive-produced, written and hosted by M. William Phelps, is known for uncovering new, breaking information in cold cases and bringing victims families answers in investigations otherwise long stalled out. Phelps is known for getting new and primary sources, and victim family members, who have not generally opened-up about the nuances of the cases, to reveal long-held secrets and exclusive information, sending dormant cases toward resolution with new suspects. The 8-part series will also include several special bonus episodes.
Season four of will take listeners deep into the heart of the Ozarks: Bella Vista, Arkansas and Pineville, Missouri. Phelps will put boots on the ground, investigating 18-year-old Dana Stidhams 1989 murder and 22-year-old Shauna Grace Doe Garbers 1990 murder. He will bring listeners authentic, jaw-dropping moments, with never-before-heard archival law enforcement audio, revealing previously unknown information about these 30-plus-year-old cold cases. Culled from over 50 hours of interviews, aside from Phelpss regular cast of sourcesfriends and family members of the victims; law enforcement; cleared suspects; prosecutors and attorneys; journalists; and morePhelps will unearth a potential new suspect and will confront the man with the evidence hes gathered against him.
Ive been a victims advocate my entire career, and crime victims stories are at the forefront of what I do, says host M. William Phelps. About M. William Phelps
is the New York Times best-selling author of 45 nonfiction and winner of the Excellence in (Investigative) Journalism Award from the Society of Professional Journalists. Phelps has written for numerous publications, including the Providence Journal, and . Diversifying his talents, Phelps consulted on the first season of the hit Showtime cable television series Dexter and has executive produced and starred in over 350 hours of true crime television. All of which gives him a confluence of expertise and experience to bring to true crime fanatics. In 1996, Phelpss sister-in-law, five months pregnant, was violently murdered, and her case remains unsolved, which allows him added insight into the plight and pain of murder victims family members. He grew up in East Hartford, Connecticut, and now splits his time between Tolland County and Stonington, CT. In July 2017, Phelps published his definitive, 10-year project about Happy Face Killer, Keith Hunter Jesperson, .
